The project “EESPIP – Support for prison employees in the context of education of women and minorities in prison conditions” is an international project under the Erasmus + Program in which Association ARID is a partner. The project started on 01/09/2018 and will last for 36 months. Project partnership consists of organizations from France, Poland, Romania, Portugal and Spain.
The District Inspectorate of the Prison Service from Krakow is also involved in the project.
The project is addressed to four groups of respondents

  1. Prison staff – educators, psychologists and organizations cooperating with penal institutions in the area of the broadly understood motivation process to teach prisoners (with particular emphasis on women and minorities in the broad sense);
  2. Convicted persons staying in penitentiary units, with particular emphasis on women and broadly understood national minorities.
  3. Educational employees of the Center for Continuing Education.
    The project at every stage of its implementation assumes the development of relevant materials (research and training).
    The second stage of the project will be the development of detailed training materials for relevant professional groups, including the process of motivating convicts to deepen education in the conditions of penitentiary isolation.
    The result of the project will be the development of 4 textbooks addressed to relevant professional groups: educators, psychologists and educational employees in prisons. These materials will be available in both electronic and printed versions and will help employees involved in education at prison in their daily work.
